The French president Nicolas Sarkozy known as the “télé- president” is trying to improve the situation of France regarding the newspaper industry. The edition and the circulation of the newspaper are encountering considerable problems because of the boundaries fixed to the French press. In fact, political parties are strictly controlling the content of newspaper especially by the communist union and thus preventing people from beneficing from this medium. Moreover, the population should be able to have access to information and to have the possibility to buy newspaper. In some European countries, the costs of printing are lower comparing to France which constitutes another major problem of the French newspaper industry. The cost of this industry should be similar to all the European Union countries or at least, France should decrease its printing costs. Finally, the newspaper industry represents an important aspect of communication; consequently it should be supported and encouraged for a better use and spread of free ideas and a better satisfaction of people.
